I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and... drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2004 Volvo S40. I would rate the exterior of this Volvo to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking Volvo. The finish purple finish has a mile deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with the age and mileage. On this specific Volvo, there are some scratches and such. The turn single lenses on the drivers side is missing. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors, and trunk all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact aside from the turn signal lens. The factory alloy wheels show well and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with good tread all around. Please take your time to check out each of the photos carefully. I would also rate the interior of this Volvo to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for the age and milage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets are clean and full looking throughout the interior. The dash and headliner are clean. Both front seats are power operated and heated. The leather seats are soft supple and very comfortable. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The climate control is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater blows hot and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The audio system is original and works properly. The trunk is spacious and clean, too. Please take your time to check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this Volvo appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 1.9L 4 cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I haven't noticed any leaks and the engine dose not smoke. Her road manners are good. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. The turbo spools up quickly and makes good power. I did get a check engine light during my road test. The code was P0015 (cam shaft position control). This didn't seem to affect the performance for the car in any way. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with absolutely no complaints. The timing belt has been done on this Volvo. This Volvo has a good PA inspection until the end of August 2019.
